The Council of Health Insurance obtains the ISO certification for business continuity

The Council of Health Insurance (CHI) is obtained the ISO certificate in business continuity ISO22301:2019, granted by the international company Bureau Veritas, in recognition of its commitment to adhering to the latest standards of business continuity and for applying the standards and fulfilling all the necessary requirements.

 

CHI is distinguished by its outstanding achievements as it earned the fourth global achievement in complying by the international quality standards, in addition to its previous achievements by obtaining the "ISO 27001, ISO 9001 & ISO 10002" certificates.

The Council of Health Insurance has obtained the new ISO certificate after its success in implementing all standards and requirements, most notably identifying risks to ensure business continuity, setting appropriate controls for its management, and adopting a preventive approach to reduce the impact of accidents to the lowest level, which reflects positively on the work of the Council and enhances its position and reliability of performance with customers.

The official spokesman for the Council of Health Insurance, Mr. Ahmed Abu Amara, confirmed that obtaining the ISO certificate in business continuity ISO22301: 2019 is the culmination of his work and efforts aimed at raising quality and efficiency in the health insurance sector. He said: “This international recognition is an important addition to all the achievements of CHI, which seeks To enable the beneficiaries to obtain their rights of full care and protection with the highest levels of quality and efficiency.

Abu Emara pointed out that the new achievement contributes to enhancing the performance and reputation of CHI, in light of the keenness to advance the sector and its services, achieve digital transformation, and focus on innovation and sustainability.

It is noteworthy that the International Organization for Standardization ISO grants the accreditation certificate for the Business Continuity Management Standard to entities that succeed in identifying and understanding threats and risks and how they affect the functioning of their business, by setting appropriate controls to manage and address them before they occur or limit their negative effects.
