​     The capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, will host the Health Insurance Conference in its first session. It is organized by the Cooperative Health Insurance Council, having been granted the royal approval of His Majesty and under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Health, the President of the Council, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah. The conference will last two consecutive days, on 12-13 Jumada  II 1439, corresponding to 28 February-1 March 2018 under the title (Insurance and the Future of Health).
     The Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Conference, Secretary General of the Cooperative Health Insurance Council, Muhammad ibn Sulaiman Al-Hussain, said that the conference, in its first version, comes as a founding start to hold a periodic conference every two years. These conferences aim at raising the standard of health insurance market industry, improving the performance of the workforce in the sector and reviewing the latest developments in health insurance, in addition to discussing ways to benefit from the tremendous progress in the levels of quality standards and the security and privacy of data in conjunction with the rapid growth of the insurance sector according to the performance indexes in the local market.
     Al-Hussain stated that the conference highlights five main themes including:
 The role of health insurance in achieving 2030 Vision; health insurance for citizens and its impact on the future of providing health services; the digital transformation in health insurance and quality indicators for service providers and insurance companies; health insurance standards and insurance transactions; and finally, health insurance governance.
     He also pointed out that the conference is a golden opportunity for sharing experiences between participants and attending specialists and people concerned. He indicated that the conference is expected to witness a large turnout of insurance companies and claims management companies, in addition to private and public health providers, employers “policyholders” as well as insured, local and international investors, and those who are interested in the health insurance sector academically and professionally, locally and regionally.
    He also pointed out that the conference will be accompanied by an exhibition dedicated to the products and services of the sector, calling on all those wishing to attend the conference to register at their earliest convenient time on
