​Secretary General of the Council of Health Insurance, the regulatory body of insurance sector in Saudi Arabia. January 2019: joined the health council as the secretary general

2016 – 2018: at the Saudi Ministry of Health; he developed the General Administration for the Procurement of Health Services. Which included the first unified system to deliver healthcare services to Saudi citizens at the private hospitals that led eventually to a high level of quality and efficiency of the health services, and complete automation. He also worked during that period as an advisor to the Deputy Minister in addition to his work as a member of the transformative projects.

1998 – 2015: at the Saudi Aramco his hold number of managerial positions and the last position he held was the Chief and Director of Medical Network Services Department (Managed Care Arm), and one of the founder of Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare.

Background; Canadian certified family physician with a broad experience in clinical practice, managing physician's performance, change management, quality assurance activities, care management, Value Based Healthcare, medical contracting proficiency that includes pay for performance, negotiation and administration.

Now he is leading the Council of Health Insurance CHI., and Member of the Saudi Health Council, Patient Safety Center and the Committee of Voluntary Health and a member in the Health Endowment Fund. ​
