The Council of Health Insurance (CHI) received a certificate of international recognition by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) as the first​ organization in the Kingdom using the 2020 model.

EFQM aims at enhancing competitiveness through realizing the highest standards of quality and excellence, whereas the EFQM model is a globally recognized model that supports institutions in managing change and improving performance, which realizes progress and sustainability in the foundation.

Council of Health Insurance has received the certificate for its efforts in realizing several achievements according to the strategic aspects of CHI after achieving 79% in the assessment of government digital transformation and classifying the council within the best 5 health institutions in government digital transformation.

On his part, the official spokesperson of the Council of Health Insurance (CHI), Mr. Ahmed Abu Omara, assured that CHI's quest for development is still ongoing, completing the journey of commitment in accordance with the highest standards of quality and excellence in CHI. We launched multiple initiatives through the year 2021, including the adoption of the basic benefits package, the launch of the "Dhaman Fund", the data governance project, and protection of beneficiaries' privacy, reaching stages of innovation, integration ‎regarding the evaluation of the Digital Government Authority (DGA), adoption of the qualification criteria of updated insurance companies, adoption and classification of health care providers; obtaining the gold award for excellence in project management from the Project Management Institute (PMI); and receiving the award from ZIMAM-Elsevier in the digital healthcare field.

Mr. Ahmed Abu Omara affirmed that CHI continues its role in achieving its objectives and strategy, which ensures the higher quality of services.
